Anand Kurian is an alumnus of Bombay Scottish School, St. Xavier College, Elphinstone College, and Government Law College, some of India’s most institutions. He is a Marketing communication practitioner, theorist and a trainer. He has served Industry for more than 25 years. He has been profiled in ‘Marketing People’ (Barnes & Nobel, USA), a book about thirty marketing people from around the world. Noted intellectuals and corporate heads such as Narayana Murthy (of Infosys), R. Gopalakrishnan (Executive Director, Tata Sons) Prof. Abraham Koshy (IIM-A), Prof. Zha and Prof. Moorti (IIM-B) are collaborating with him to demonstrate how Prof. Anand Kurian’s concepts find applications in their specialized domains; This body of research is currently under process. He is trained in film production at Griner, Cuesta & Schrom, New York.
Anand produces commercials for several multinationals; Coca Cola, Lays, P & G and Unilever. He has conceived and developed marketing management concepts such as: ‘Reality Plus’ ‘Neo People’ ‘Simulated Obsolescence’ and ‘The Afghanistan Syndrome’. He has developed ‘The Universal Integrators model’, a marketing management enabler that helps overcome barriers as products and services cross boundaries. He has published papers in many journals on marketing communications, advertising, branding. He is a visiting faculty to MICA, Ahmedabad, IIMs and He has lectured on these concepts at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), at conferences of professional bodies, to members of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and at CEO forums. He take care of clients requirement in connection with Communication – advertising strategies.
